On Hold Staff Allen

Allen Gaughf

President

As President of Transmedia Advertising, Inc., Allen started marketing on hold messages under the trade name Commercials On Hold in 1982 and was the first voice talent. Allen has been active in voice work and broadcasting since age 15 when he began as a radio announcer. Allen's radio career encompassed announcing, sales, management and ownership before he started Transmedia. In addition to voice work for broadcast, Allen has been 'on camera' talent for television commercials and corporate videos and produced and hosted a weekly tv program promoting real estate, for over 10 years. Allen has served on committees and the Board of Directors for several local organizations, including the Central Georgia Advertising Federation, community theatre and girls youth softball. Allen also coached girls softball for six years.

Allen is an active member of OHMA, the international On Hold Messaging Association, serving on the Board of Directors and as President of OHMA.

Barbara Gaughf

Vice President

Barbara Gaughf has been involved in the field of advertising for over 25 years. She has produced corporate videos as well as commericals for both radio and television. Her education includes graduating Cum Laude, from Mercer University with a BA in Communication and a Masters degree from Mercer University School of Medicine. Barbara enjoys spending time traveling with her family and singing in a Sweet Adelines chorus. She also contributes much of her free time to community service and serves on several local Boards of Directors.

Drew Mercer

Sales & Marketing

Drew Mercer joined Commercials On Hold in January of 2004. He earned an MBA from the University of Phoenix, SLC, UT campus and a BA in Sociology from the University of Georgia. Drew has 12 years experience in sales and marketing. He enjoys reading, writing, fishing, running with his dog, and most of all, outings with his wife and two daughters.

Bethany Nalley

Administrative

A 2002 graduate of the University of Georgia, Bethany holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Marketing. She attained five years of administrative and marketing experience prior to joining Commercials On Hold in July 2004. On the weekends, she enjoys playing piano for various events in addition to writing and arranging music at home.

Dorothy Tyde

Administrative

With over 40 years of experience in the banking and accounting industries, Dorothy joined the Commercials On Hold team in February of 2005. Dorothy is a wiz with numbers and really enjoys finding new ways to streamline the flow of her tasks. Being friendly and outgoing is part of Dorothy's charm, and she always takes the time to make sure our clients are completely satisfied with our service. Outside of work, Dorothy enjoys spending time with her friends and family, traveling, and attending Broadway shows. And not only does she like to attend sporting events, but Dorothy is known to play a round of golf herself!

Kinsey Mason

Director of Copywriting

Kinsey has been a member of the Commercials On Hold team since 1992. She graduated Cum Laude from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism. In addition to heading up the copywriting department for Commercials On Hold, Kinsey is very active in the music ministry at her church. She rings in the handbell choir, and sings in both the ladies praise team and Joyful Praise Choir. In her spare time, she enjoys playing piano, reading, and traveling. Some of her favorite trips include: singing in a choir in the Vatican at St. Peter's Basilica; dogsled riding with her husband in Colorado; and riding through the streets of Venice, Italy in a gondola boat.

Ginger Brown

Copywriter

Ginger's background in advertising dates back to the early '80s, when she and her sister would write commercials and record them on an old tape recorder. Many years and one degree from the University of Georgia later, she now writes for clients of Commercials on Hold--which she has been doing since 1995. She really likes the creative aspect of her job, and the comaraderie she shares with her coworkers. In her spare time, Ginger enjoys playing guitar, writing songs, learning music theory (really) and going out to hear live music with fellow copywriter, Anne.

Anne Arisman

Copywriter

Anne has been with Commercials On Hold since October of 2000, and appreciates the opportunity to write for all types of interesting clients throughout the United States and beyond. She is a former corporate editor and freelance writer. Known to work barefoot, Anne is a free spirit who really enjoys coming up with creative ways to keep callers happy on hold. Her other interests include photography, live music, volunteer work and keeping up with her three children. Originally from Hammond, Indiana, near Chicago, Anne graduated from Butler University in Indianapolis with a degree in Public and Corporate Communications.

Adrienne Taylor

Copywriter

Adrienne, a native of Chesapeake, Virginia, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Christopher Newport University in December 2005. During her senior year, she interned at the Virginia Air and Space Center, and Southside of the James Attractions Association. As a newlywed, Adrienne moved to our area and joined the team in July 2006. When asked what she likes most about her job, Adrienne says she enjoys the creativity that is needed to produce the scripts- and the warm camaraderie of our staff. In her spare time, Adrienne likes to write poetry and short stories. She's also known to cook a delicious Italian meal, and loves working with animals.

Becky Dennis

Copywriter

Becky Dennis is a graduate of the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!), with a degree in journalism. After meeting her husband, Adam, in Athens, Becky moved with him to his hometown of Macon, Ga. to start planning their future together. In her free time, Becky loves spending time with Adam, her family and her two Chihuahuas, Tazzy and Zeus. Her favorite pastimes include cooking anything and everything, traveling, sleeping and reading.

Erica Sacra

Originally from Louisville, Kentucky, Erica has been a part of the Commercials On Hold team since August 2003. A magna cum laude graduate of Georgia College & State University, she received a degree in mass communication, with a concentration in advertising and public relations. In her free time, she enjoys shopping, going to movies and watching University of Kentucky basketball.

Bob Hamilton

Production

Bob enjoyed a long career in the radio industry before coming to Commercials On Hold in May 2000. His experience in music programming, production and air work made for an easy transition to his role as producer at Commercials On Hold. Bob enjoys golf and spending time with his family.

Paul McClelland

Production

Paul earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Mississippi State University, and spent the next 3 decades in the radio industry, hosting radio programs in Birmingham AL, St. Louis MO, New Orleans LA, and here in Macon GA, to name a few. As an audio producer at Commercials On Hold, Paul relaxes with the same activities away from work as on the job, editing and mixing music sessions at his home recording studio, as well as writing and playing the guitar with his wife, Susan.

Gail Daniels

Voice Talent, Production and Sales and Marketing

Gail Daniels has spent more than 30 years in the radio industry, working in various markets including Baton Rouge, Little Rock, Houston and Cincinnati. Over the course of her career she was voted Billboard Air Personality and Music Director of the Year, and CMA Music Director of the year. She hosted TV shows in Little Rock and Houston, showing music videos and interviewing celebrities from Tammy Wynette, to Garth Brooks. She was even the official voice for Timex, providing the prompts on their help line.

Justyne Dickson

Web Designer, Internet Advertising Specialist

Justyne graduated from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, GA with a BFA in Graphic Design. She has been a freelance web designer and illustrator for personal clients for over 4 years. Justyne enjoys her job because it allows her to work one-on-one with clients and design their websites and collateral from the ground up, to create a unique look.
