Stop Censorship of the Internet

So many individuals and companies depend on the internet in order to conduct daily business. But what would happen if websites like Google, Facebook, Twitter and Youtube had most of their content censored? With the Senate bill PIPA and the House counterpart SOPA, this could become a reality.

PIPA is a bill that will censor the Internet in many ways. Websites that thrive on user input will be affected the most by this bill. In other words, some of the best ways that your business might be advertising online (such as Google AdWords, Facebook, Twitter and Youtube) won't be as effective as they once were. Not to mention that the reach of this bill could go beyond these popular sites, and cause your own site to be censored in some way (even if at the moment you aren't breaking any copyright laws).

There is something you can do to help prevent this bill from passing. First, call your state senators and tell them that you oppose PIPA. Let them know how censoring the internet could negatively affect your company. There are also many petitions online that you can sign to show your opposition to the bill.
